Buy IPv4 Space

Acquire IPv4 address space with permanent ownership. We broker the entire transaction from discovery to RIR transfer, ensuring a clean, compliant purchase.

Typical timeline

Buy in 24 hours

From your first message to a signed purchase submitted to the registry.

  1. Hour 0

    You get in touch

Tell us the block size, the region you need it in, and what it is for. We then search our own inventory and our seller network for the best available match.

  2. Hour 2

    Quote and terms

We come back with pricing and terms for the block we have found. This usually takes 1-3 business hours.

  3. Hour 4

    Contract

Once agreed, we draw up the purchase agreement between you and the seller and send it out for signing. Compliance and chain-of-custody checks on the block happen here.

  4. Hour 8

    Invoice and payment

When the contract is signed, we send out the invoice.

  5. Hour 24

    Transfer filed with RIPE

We handle the transfer paperwork and registry updates on your behalf, submitting within several hours after payment usually. RIPE takes 1-3 business days under normal conditions, after which the addresses are registered to your organisation.

Indicative timings for straightforward requests, not a guarantee. Larger blocks, incomplete documentation or registry processing can take longer.

PA and legacy blocks in stock

We hold and broker both provider aggregatable space and legacy blocks, and we handle sales into the RIPE, ARIN and APNIC regions.

PA space

Ordinary allocated space from LIR holdings. The straightforward case: a clean transfer under standard registry policy, available in most sizes.

Legacy blocks

Pre-RIR assignments that sit under different registry conditions and carry fewer ongoing obligations. Often the more attractive asset, and a meaningful part of our inventory.

RIPE, ARIN and APNIC

We sell into RIPE, ARIN and APNIC. Inter-RIR transfers between those three are handled where policy allows.

Regions Covered

We broker IPv4 transfers in the RIPE, ARIN and APNIC regions. Contact us for availability in your region.

A few of the businesses we have handled transfers, leases and sponsorships for.

We successfully worked with RTM Networks to buy a legacy IPv4/24 and receive a PI IPv6 /48. RTM is our LIR Sponsor and and the whole process was really smooth. Everything worked out the easy way without any troubles in transfer of the IP Ranges. We continue to work with them as LIR sponsor and infrastructure for one of the backbones we are connected now. Special thanks Rick for helping us in setting up the mesh connected backbones and bird. After decades in the business a great experience with cool people. Thank you for doing a great job.

I have been an RTM customer for about a year now (starting with a sister company, Bakker IT), and I have never encountered any hiccups. Based on my experience, Rick is truly dedicated to providing an excellent customer experience, at honest prices with great customer support and reactivity. They are my LIR as well as my lease-to-own sponsor for IPv4 space. The addresses are super clean! They truly are looking for long-term customership, and everything is there for it. You can't go wrong with RTM Networks!

I've known Rick since 2014, and over the past 12 years he has helped me tremendously in many different ways. When it comes to RIPE, networking, and everything related to network infrastructure, Rick is someone I know I can always rely on. His knowledge and experience are excellent, but what I appreciate most is his reliability. In all those years, he has never once let me down. Rick is incredibly helpful, friendly, trustworthy, and always willing to think along or help when needed. After 12 years of working together, I can confidently say that Rick and RTM Networks are people you can truly depend on. Rick, thank you for everything you've done over the years. I genuinely appreciate our cooperation and hope we'll continue working together for many more years!

I've started doing business with them over a year ago. During that time I leased an IPv4 network with them. With the Help of Rick we completely transferred the Network segment without any issues. Additional, Rick is very helpful with everything regarding RIPE, Registrations, Transfers, Help with Routing etc.

Buying questions

Where can I buy IPv4 addresses?

From organisations that hold space they no longer need. In practice that rarely happens directly. Most sellers work through a broker who finds the counterparty, verifies the block and handles the registry side. Open marketplaces exist too. What matters more than the venue is whether whoever you buy through can show you the block's history and stands behind the transfer. We hold inventory ourselves and broker from a network of sellers, so most requests can be matched without you going to market alone.

How do I request IPv4 from a registry directly?

You open an account with the registry covering your region and meet its criteria. In practice this is no longer a route to meaningful quantities. The free pools are effectively gone and what remains is rationed or waitlisted, so almost all address space now changes hands on the transfer market. Tell us your region and we will say plainly whether a direct request is worth attempting or whether a transfer is the faster path.

Which registry regions can I buy in?

We handle purchases into RIPE, ARIN and APNIC, and inter-registry transfers between them where policy permits. We do not currently transact in the LACNIC or AFRINIC regions. Conditions differ by region: some require you to document need before approving a transfer, some require an account in good standing first, and the paperwork differs accordingly. We work out which applies to your case before anything is signed.

What should I check before buying a block?

Four things. Who has held it since it was assigned, and whether the seller is genuinely entitled to transfer it. Its current registry status. Whether it was announced by anyone without a claim to it while it sat dormant. And its blocklist history. We run all four as part of brokering, and you see the results before you commit rather than after.

Do I need a sponsoring LIR to buy in the RIPE region?

If you are not a Local Internet Registry yourself, the resource has to be tied to one. We can act as your sponsoring LIR, which means the purchase and the ongoing registry relationship sit with the same party instead of you arranging them separately.

Legacy blocks were handed out before the RIRs existed, and they sit under different rules than ordinary allocated space. Here is what that means in practice for buyers and holders.
