Sell your unused IPv4 space
Your idle IPv4 addresses are a valuable asset. We buy them for our own inventory, with a free valuation, the price and terms agreed in writing, and every transfer document prepared for you to sign.
Why now
Why sell now?
IPv4 demand continues to outstrip supply. The secondary market remains strong.
Strong demand
IPv4 demand continues to outstrip supply. Your unused addresses are a valuable asset.
We buy it ourselves
We buy for our own inventory, in the RIPE NCC, ARIN and APNIC regions, so there is no buyer to find and no one in between.
Secure transactions
Terms, payment and the transfer steps are agreed in writing before anything moves, so both sides know exactly where they stand.
Fast process
A sale of RIPE NCC space usually completes within one to two weeks of the valuation. ARIN and APNIC transfers take longer.
How it works
How the sale process works
- 01
Free valuation
We assess your block size, RIR, reputation, and routing history to determine fair market value.
- 02
Our offer
We make you an offer for the block ourselves, based on that valuation.
- 03
Agreement
The price, the payment terms and the transfer steps go into a written purchase agreement before anything moves.
- 04
Transfer & payment
We prepare the registry's transfer documents for you to sign and keep you updated as the transfer progresses. We pay within 24 hours of the transfer's completion.
Valuation
Before you sell
There is no single price per address. Size, region, reputation, registration type, paperwork and routing history all move it, so we value each block on its own.
Two things stop a sale outright. Space received through a transfer usually cannot move on straight away: the RIPE NCC applies 24 months, ARIN 12. And the registered holder has to match the company that signs. Both are worth checking on day one.
We buy for our own inventory, so the answer is an offer from us, not a search for a buyer.
What to have ready
- The prefix or prefixes, exactly as registered
- The registry they sit under
- The registered holder, and whether it still matches your company
- Whether the space is announced now, and from which ASN
- When you acquired it, if it came by transfer
- Whether to sell all of it or split it

Testimonials
What our customers say
In the words of the businesses we have handled transfers, leases and sponsorships for.
We successfully worked with RTM Networks to buy a legacy IPv4/24 and receive a PI IPv6 /48. RTM is our LIR Sponsor and and the whole process was really smooth. Everything worked out the easy way without any troubles in transfer of the IP Ranges. We continue to work with them as LIR sponsor and infrastructure for one of the backbones we are connected now. Special thanks Rick for helping us in setting up the mesh connected backbones and bird. After decades in the business a great experience with cool people. Thank you for doing a great job.
For me, what sets RTM Networks apart is the people. Rick combines professionalism with a genuinely personal approach: he is direct, friendly and someone you can rely on, and he and his team understand this industry and take responsibility for getting things done. Working with them over several years has been a very positive experience, and we have seen it from both sides. Our relationship actually began with RTM buying from us: we sold them several /24 IPv4 prefixes, and every deal was handled so professionally, clearly and responsibly that it was easy for us. Later the tables turned and we leased a /24 from them, a practical and economical solution for our business. Seller first, customer later: either way, I recommend RTM Networks with confidence.
In twelve years of working with Rick, he has never once let me down. Since 2014 he has helped me enormously, in many different ways, and he has always been incredibly helpful, friendly and trustworthy, ready to think along or lend a hand whenever I needed it. When it comes to RIPE, networking or anything else in network infrastructure, his knowledge and experience are excellent, but it is his reliability I value most: he is the one I know I can always count on. Rick and RTM Networks are people you can truly depend on. Rick, thank you for everything over the years. I really appreciate our cooperation and hope we will keep working together for many more.
In about a year as a customer of RTM, starting out through their sister company Bakker IT, I have not run into a single hiccup. Rick is truly dedicated to giving his customers an excellent experience, and you can tell they are after a long-term relationship, with everything in place to make it one. RTM is both my LIR and my lease-to-own sponsor for IPv4 space. Prices are honest, support is great and quick to react, and the addresses are spotless. You can't go wrong with RTM Networks!
Thanks to Rick, our entire network segment was transferred without a single issue. He is a great help with anything to do with RIPE, whether registrations, transfers or routing. We started doing business with RTM Networks over a year ago, when we leased an IPv4 network from them.
I never had to wait two days or more for a reply to a single email. So far I have only dealt with Rick, who answers fast and has been very helpful. Good people, reasonable prices, and everything works. I buy from Austria.

FAQ
Selling questions
What does it cost to sell to you?
Nothing. The valuation is free, and there is no transfer cost and no fee: the price we agree is what you receive. If you want to use an escrow service, its costs are yours. If the transfer does not go through, it costs you nothing.
What is my block worth?
It depends on size, registry region and how clean the space is. A /24 usually fetches more per address than a large block, and a history of blocklist entries pulls the figure down. We give a free valuation based on what comparable blocks are actually transacting at rather than a headline rate.
How long does a sale take?
A sale of RIPE NCC space usually completes within one to two weeks of the valuation, and the RIPE NCC's own part usually takes 1-3 business days. ARIN and APNIC transfers usually take 2-4 weeks. Registry processing is outside anyone's control.
When do I get paid?
Within 24 hours of the transfer's completion: once the RIPE NCC confirms the block is in our account, we pay, also for space that comes from ARIN or APNIC. If you would rather have the money held before the transfer, an escrow service can do that, at your cost.
Can I sell only part of a block?
Usually, provided it splits into prefixes that are still routable. A /24 is the practical floor, since most networks filter anything longer. Tell us what you hold and we will tell you how it can be divided and what each part is likely to fetch.

How much is my IPv4 block worth?
Price per address is not a single number. Six factors decide what a block actually fetches, and two of them can make an otherwise good block unsellable.
